| Presidential Goals | 1 July 2006 |
It is my duty, as President of PNAGKC, to set Presidential Goals that are consistent with PNAA's Vision, Mission, and Values. The following are my Presidential Goals for PNAGKC 2006-2008:
Goal 1 – Continue to guide our organization, projects and activities in accordance with the "three V's":
- Visibility – to expose and notice accomplishments
- Maintain and update our PNAGKC website, Yahoo Group, Newsletter- the Tanglaw and brochure to enhance communication between our members
- Increase attendance to local meetings, conference calls, and regional/national conventions
- Boost community service and involvement at local, national and international level (i.e. outreach programs, medical missions)
- Continue educational programs and research projects
- Expand and increase our scholarship offerings
- Network with other non-profit/civic organizations such as FAGKC, PMSGKC, LIONS, ROTARY, ZONTA, etc.
- Recognize outstanding PNAGKC members
- Explore opportunities to team with other professional organization such as MOSBN, ANA, NCEMNA, etc.
- Viability – to succeed and continue effectiveness
- Active recruitment and promotion to retain and attract long-term, involved members
- Organize fund raising activities
- Maintain our 501 (C) 3 status
- Seek, develop and apply for grants
- Promote activities to unify and support Filipino-American nurses
- Vitality – to live, grow, and develop
- Encourage mentorship programs to set exemplary leadership for all members
- Organize fun activities to enhance team cohesiveness such as a bowling tournament, dance lessons, and yoga/Pilates lessons
- Promote improved health and well-being of our members
- Promote continued support and friendship between our members
- Celebrate our successes with our annual dinner dance, camping trip, picnic and other events
- Empower each other to contribute toward the effectiveness and success of each individual member through mentorship.
- Strengthen our professional growth and relationship with each other, with other organizations and with our community.
- To have clear, shared goals--a sense of commitment, mutual accountability and complementary resources and skills
- Promote PNAA 2006-2008 culture of EDCIP by PNAA President, May Mayor
- Excellence, Dedication, Commitment to Community, Involvement & Innovations, and Passion and Performance
