A UNTRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS

The year 2009 is gone and a NEW YEAR is upon
us.; what a year it was for our organization We have
our share of Ups and Downs but it was more evident on our
Christmas party last December 11, 2009.
What started to be a promising .Traditional Xmas Celebra-
tion. turned out to be as untraditional as it can come in many
ways. You know what they say about best laid plans! De-
spite days of program planning, festive decorations and food
preparation, things can still go very wrong and it did that
evening. To our dismay, rising waters from busted frozen
pipes, flooded the Cultural Center floors forcing us to cancel
the celebration. The flood-of-water gate crasher was a great
disappointment almost momentarily crushing the Christmas
Spirit but not for long.
Many who chose to stay despite the official party cancellation
and grim situation, (flooded floor, no running water no pro-
gram, no line dancing )
