PNAGKC Brings Home

T
he regional Conference
was held last April 24-25 in
Cleveland, Ohio. The theme was
“Power of Nursing : Creating
and Strengthening Our Future
Through Interagency
Collaboration, Service,
and Program
PNA chapters from Greater Kan-
sas City, Greater St. Louis, Illi-
nois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and
Wisconsin came together to
showcase their talents
and ac-
complishments; to tell their stories
on how they have contributed to
their community and have made a
difference to the lives of so many;
to learn new knowledge and hone
their skills, and most specially, to
bond and unite in the pursuit of the
mission and vision of PNAA. This
year, PNAA is celebrating its 30th
Anniversary in Baltimore.
The keynote speaker during
the educational program was Felix
Jurado, PNAA President .
With his topic, .Advancing Our
Future PNAA’S Prism Value
Chain through Stewardship., he
expounded on
how, we the stew-
ards of the Association can shape
our future. The Leadership Work-
shop was designed to mentor the
Association’s future leaders and to
provide them with the tools they
need in leading their own chap-
ters.
During the Welcome Night,
our delegates showcased
PNAGKC’s creativity and ingenuity
by presenting the Red Carpet Hos-

fter meticulous planning, coordinating and hard work, the Philippine Nurses Association of Greater
Kansas City celebrated its 18th Anniversary on April 18, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. It was
another milestone reached. The Red Carpet theme was conceived by Mopette Florentino and after several
months of hard work, it all came together. Friends, families, co-workers and ever loyal supporters from
FAGKC,PMS, Lions Club, local rotary International members and friends of friends, all came to celebrate.
